INTECO Team at Taewoong carries out First Heat with Success
The new steel plant at Taewoong Corporation - one of INTECO’s most important steel plant projects – reports its first heat.
The steel plant order for the supply of an entire melting and ingot casting operation, consisting of an 150t EAF, a LF, a VD/VOD plant, equipment for both conventional casting and vacuum ingot casting for up to 700t as well as a Level 2 system placed by the South Korean customer Taewoong, is making great progress.
In September 2015 installation started under the supervision of INTECO and was followed by an intensive series of tests preparing this unique plant for its first heat, which was successfully carried out by INTECO’s metallurgical experts on site.
Great teamwork among the client’s and INTECO’s engineers as well as the outstanding efforts of all parties involved were the main factors to reach this milestone.
