INTECO receives order for EAF Revamping from Shagang Special Steel

As the recovery trend from the COVID 10 pandemic in China is ramping up gradually, INTECO customer Shagang Special Steel decided to go ahead by awarding INTECO with the order for the revamping of two of their EAFs.

The project will cover the engineering of the complete high current secondary system reusing the existing bus bars.

The modification is done to eliminate arcing phenomena on the insulation parts, which currently often occurs during furnace operation.

The new secondary system will be designed keeping the existing geometry, thus not changing the system reactance.  Additional the overall rigidity of the system will be increased.
