First Heat for INTECO at BGH Freital

In March INTECO has been awarded with a follow-up for another ESR. The German special steel producer BGH Freital decided to invest in another Electroslag Remelting furnace which was designed identically to the INTECO plant installed a few years ago.

Beginning of February the first heat was carried out successfully with this ESR Nr.2. The highly efficient ESR furnace features the latest design such as protective gas remelting, a fully coaxial high current line and a realiable and very precise process control system. In addition, the acceptance melts were carried out end of February and the project successfully finalized.
