Erzhong signs contract with INTECO to build China’s biggest ESR plant

Beginning of May the Chinese customer Erzhong awarded INTECO with the order for engineering and supply of a 150t ESR plant, which will be the biggest and most innovative plant of this type in China, once finalized. In the past 10 years INTECO has led the ESR plant- and process technology to industrial maturity and is very proud that Erzhong has recognized this technological progress by ordering this new plant.

The plant consists of two furnace heads and melting stations, which can produce ingots with a maximum diameter of 2100mm and 150t by the means of electrode change.

This order for sure can be regarded as trend-setting on the Chinese market as further inquiries are already under way and follow up orders quite certain.

The project schedule foresees a delivery in about 12 months’ time and both contract parties will definitely do their very best to carry out the first heat in fall 2018.
